With a background working in both inpatient and outpatient addictions, as well as previous experience facilitating a parent support group, I have witnessed the unique struggle that parents can experience when their child is struggling with substance use. Fear, self-blame, shame, grief, frustration, and isolation can become part of everyday life.
This group offers a supportive, non-judgmental space to navigate these experiences alongside others who understand. Together, we’ll explore the difference between supporting and enabling, setting healthy boundaries while maintaining connection, communicating through difficult moments, and caring for yourself while continuing to love and support your child.
